Magnolia Lodge was founded in 1991, and has kept an intensive trophy management program since that time. Our lodge is located in Greene County, and we hunt 5,000 contiguous acres, which lends itself well to trophy management. Our lodge is newly built (2005) and we have 10 private bedrooms and four baths. The dining room, kitchen and den area are all open, with high ceilings. The interior of the lodge features floors, high ceiling and walls completely of southern yellow pine. There is no sheetrock in the entire structure, and all the pine is naturally finished and quite beautiful. We only take hunters for two types of hunts: First are our Youth Weekend Hunts, which are the Friday, Saturday and Sunday one week before Alabama gun deer season opens (two weekends prior to Thanksgiving Day). Our second hunting opportunity is strictly for rut hunts. In 19 years, we have well determined that the rut in our part of the state is between December 24 and January 12. We will only book hunts during that period of time. With the above two types of hunts only, Magnolia Lodge is able to offer the finest high percentage hunting opportunities available anywhere in Alabama. All meals and guides are provided and southern hospitality is what you should expect.

Youth Hunt
PACKAGE PRICE: $2,500. In 2006, the state of Alabama designated the weekend prior to the opening of deer season as “Youth Days.” This weekend hunt has become a tradition at Magnolia Lodge. A youth hunter in Alabama must be under 16 years old, but there is no minimum age to hunt in the state. Many youngsters around 10 years old have been successful taking their first deer at Magnolia Lodge. One of our highly qualified staff will have this youth hunter as his personal guest for Youth Days. There will be no hunting license required, as youths under 16 years old accompanied by a licensed adult need not have a license. Our package hunt includes arrival and pickup on Thursday at the Birmingham International Airport unless someone chooses to drive the youth to the lodge. The hunt will be on 5,000 acres of private land managed 19 years for trophy quality. On Friday, there will be instruction and shooting to help teach a youth about the use of firearms and scoped rifle hunting. A 22 or 22 Mag scoped rifle will be provided for this instruction to help the youth learn how to properly squeeze off a shot. A high-powered youth rifle will be provided if needed for the actual deer hunt on Saturday and Sunday. There will be one available for even the younger guys or gals, as we have a shortened version for this very purpose. Then, on Saturday morning the deer hunting will start from comfortable three-man blinds. The youth will be able to take a buck and doe on Saturday and Sunday. For sure, there will be shooting, and hopefully a youth could get their first deer (or first buck) at Magnolia Lodge. Accommodations and meals for a parent are included with this package hunt. Delete
Rut Deer Hunt
PACKAGE PRICE: $3,500. These hunts are for five days during the peak of the Alabama rut. Accommodations will be at Magnolia Lodge (10 bedrooms, 4 baths). The price of the hunt is all-inclusive except the non-resident Alabama hunting license (approximately $175). Pickup and return at the Birmingham International Airport are also included. The hunt will be on 5,000 acres of private land managed 19 years for trophy quality. Hunters will be able to book five days between December 24, 2009, and January 12, 2010. This is the ideal time to have an opportunity at a true free-range trophy Alabama whitetail. If the hunter is successful on a buck early, a second or third may be taken on a trophy fee only basis of $1,500. Two does will be allowed for this hunt as well.
