Crooked Oaks Hunting Lodge is a 6-bedroom, 4-bath guesthouse. Upstairs bedrooms open onto ‘The Gallery’, which is lined with memorabilia from Coach Dye’s legendary 40 years in football. In the Great Room you can relax in front of the stone fireplace and 60” television, or gather around the firepit on the patio behind the lodge. Two porches, with swings and plenty of rocking chairs, overlook a large pond. The dining area can seat 24 and the large kitchen is fully stocked. A covered hallway behind the lodge can be used to seat 100 more guests and the adjoining lawn can hold a 60x120 tent. Walking trails wind through 740 acres of woods and fields and any assortment of wildlife might be encountered around the creeks, waterfalls, and ponds. Located a few miles off the Wire Road exit on I-85, Crooked Oaks is about 15 minutes from Jordan-Hare Stadium and about a 45 minute drive from Montgomery.
From MONTGOMERY. Take I-85N for 40 miles. Take AL-186 E/Wire Rd exit #42, toward US-80. Turn left onto AL-186/CR-53/Wire Rd. Turn left onto CR-57. Turn left onto CR-59/Gerald Rd. Follow CR-59. Turn Left onto J Sinclair Rd which becomes Red Creed Rd.
Crooked Oaks is approximately 15 minutes from Jordan-Hare Stadium and about a 45-minute drive from Montgomery.

Seasons
Quail Hunts
Coach Dye will be your host. Hunting will be done with experienced guides from wagons or you can walk if you choose; you can also arrange to bring your own dogs and hunt on your own. We have strong-flying birds and outstanding birddogs. Half-day and full-day hunts are offered.
Deer Hunts
Coach Dye will be your host. His guides will escort you to and from deer stands. you may take does; bucks must be 8 points or better with a 15-inch inside spread. Dressing and cleaning will be handled by the guides and deer processing is available nearby.
Turkey Hunts
Day turkey hunts with a guide will be offered. Prior to your hunt you may arrange an overnight stay with breakfast and lunch for an additional cost. We have seen magnificent gobblers on the place.
