Oyster Ridge is 1,600 acres of outdoor paradise located in the heart of the Black Belt. When row crops began to fade away, pine trees soon took their place on the family farm. Today, there are 1,300 acres of loblolly and longleaf pine trees. The rest of the acreage is for foodplots for deer and grain fields for dove, turkey, and quail. We have a lot to offer here at Oyster Ridge. From hunting and fishing trips, birdwatching, four wheeler rides, and youth/business retreats at the cabin, the opportunities are endless. We want everyone to be able to experience the Black Belt and what it has to offer. When you step into the bottom below the cabin, you will understand where the name "Oyster Ridge" comes from. It is littered with thousands and thousands of 65 million year old fossilized oyster shells. They truly are a thing of beauty and will make you appreciate the diversity of the Black Belt and what we have to offer even more.

Seasons
Deer Season
Oyster Ridge offers some exceptional deer hunting. Family and friends have been partaking in this tradition for many years. We offer deer hunting from above ground box stands and ladder stands. For those that do not like to climb, we have ground boxes also. We have food plots ranging from .5 acres all the way to 10 acres. All of the food plots are planted in wheat and clover. There is a 3-day minimum and you may harvest 1 mature buck and 2 does. At Oyster Ridge, we let you provide your own meals. This way there are no restrictions placed on the hunter. You may hunt as long as you like without having to worry about missing a meal. You can bring your own food or it can be bought at the grocery stores in town. All hunters will be dropped off and picked up directly at the stand. We only take one group (3 to 5 people) at a time. This allows you a private and personal atmosphere. We encourage and welcome family hunts.
