Donavan Lakes Fishing Club is open to the public for annual membership. We have nine lakes ranging from 40 to 6 acres. The Club is on the rich soil of the Black Belt Prairie. Four lakes are 15 years old; five lakes are six years old. Lakes contain structure and are stocked with Northern x Florida hybrid largemouth bass. Lakes contain Threadfin Shad, Golden Shiners, Coppernose Bream, Shellcracker and Bluegull Bream (no crappie). Three lakes are stocked with Gizzard Shad. There are 17 fishing piers, camping areas, 1,000 acreas of nature...outstanding birding. Donavan Inn is on the property and is available for public rent. Club members get a discount on renting the Inn. http://donavaninn.com/
The Donavan Lakes are located five miles south of Marion, Perry County. From Mairon going South, take Hwy 5 for 4 miles; turn left on Perry Co. Hwy 38; travel 2 miles on Hwy 38 and the Donavan Lakes sign and gate are on the left.
