Briarpatch Hunting Preserve is located 10 miles south of Marion, Perry County, on the Blackbelt Prairie in west-central Alabama. Guided quail hunts are given from October 1 to March 31. If you do not have your own dogs do not worry, we will supply dogs and a guide. Briarpatch Preserve has no sleeping accommodations but Marion (10 miles) and Selma have numerous motels and bed-and-breakfast places. 25 miles west of Selma, Alabama 1/2 mile west of Hwy 5 & 80 on the right. 10 mile south of Marion, Alabama on Hwy 5, turn west on Hwy 80 go 1/2 mile west' Preserve on the right.
Merge onto I-85 S via the ramp on the left to Birmingham/Mobile. Take the exit onto I-65 S. Take exit 167 to merge onto Selma Hwy/US-80 W toward Selma Continue to follow US-80 W.
Slight right at AL-41 N/US-80 W. Turn left at E Highland Ave/US-80 W.
